What you should keep in mind to study math

Hello "Elimathematicians" below I will give you some key words of what I consider should be taken into account if you feel that math are your vocation.
1. Discipline
To study mathematics we must be disciplined, because they are for life, so it is good to have a routine and an order.

2. Order
I am not the most tidy of people (my mom scolds me for that, she is a bit obsessed with cleanliness). But in mathematics if we must have an order, because if we want to solve a problem this will have different ways to solve (not always), but these paths have an orderly step by step.

3. Creativity
To be a mathematician you need to think outside the box, that is, be creative! Most people imagine that mathematics is boring, because in schools we are usually told to repeat and repeat and to memorize formulas, but mathematics goes much further than that, they are an art.
"Imagination is more important than knowledge" - Albert Einstein
4. Patience
When solving problems some of them will be simple and we will solve them quickly, but many others will not be so easy. So we must arm ourselves with patience to solve a problem, there will even be times (many) when that problem we want to solve does not have an exact solution.

5.Perseverance
"Persevering Reaches" is a well-known saying and expresses just one of the qualities that a mathematician or scientist must have, once I heard that scientific careers are like a marathon, they are a competition with oneself.
"I am convinced that at least half of what separates successful entrepreneurs from those who are not is mere perseverance" - Steve Jobs
6. Tolerance to frustration
As I said before, many problems have no solution or is very difficult to find, so it is important to be tolerant to frustration. In addition math is perfect but humans do not and we tend to make mistakes.

7. Passion and love
Finally, mathematics must be passionate, I would say that it is the most important thing to keep in mind, with this quality come the others, because thanks to it we will enjoy mathematics and love them.
"Love is the initiating power of life, passion makes possible its permanence" - Anonymous
In conclusion, I think that if you meet these characteristics you have what it takes to study mathematics.
